Job Description:

The role of the Global Product Manager, Cardiac is to serve as a business leader for the Siemens Healthineers Laboratory Diagnostics cardiac portfolio. The incumbent is responsible for product strategy, product development, product health, and partner management for these products. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating across functions to manage the products during each stage of the lifecycle. The Global Product Manager should be capable of actively participating in and influencing cross functional teams governing product and portfolio strategy, product health, and new product development initiatives. The Global Product Manager must be capable of effectively representing the voice of the customer as a member of cross functional development teams in order to execute successful commercialization of new and improved assays.

The Cardiac Product Manager reports to the Director, Cardiac. The individual interacts with all members of the LD functions and cross- Business Areas, Global and Local MSC (Marketing, Communications, Sales Operations) including Clinical and Scientific Marketing, R&D, and PLM (Product Line Management) to achieve the objectives of the responsible products. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required for successful interaction with members of all Business Area functions to achieve objectives. This role actively pulses the industry to understand the competitive environment, anticipates market trends and demands, and is capable of developing and presenting business proposals for product / portfolio strategic initiatives.

Additional responsibility for the Anemia disease state global marketing function provides the incumbent with the opportunity to participate and implement the worldwide marketing strategy, commercialization plan, and clinical/scientific positioning for the anemia disease state

Specific Tasks:

  • Author and execute marketing plans and commercialization plans for the assigned product portfolio.

  • Develop and communicate short- and long-term market strategy for assigned products.

  • Represent the business unit as the leader responsible for overall business performance for one or more assigned products, throughout the product lifecycle.

  • Define and communicate short- and long-term strategy and development roadmap for assigned products.

  • Identify and respond to competitors' strategies and products that compete with assigned products.

  • Define proposals for new product development to enhance assigned products.

  • Define and prioritize product development programs and associated budgets for assigned products.

  • Define and prioritize product health improvement programs and associated budgets for assigned products

  • Analyze and define proposals for new markets / channels to enhance assigned products in partnership with BU Marketing.

  • Analyze and define Supply Chain strategy for assigned products in partnership with OSG organization.

  • Serve as the PLM core team member and Marketing element team leader for product development programs for assigned products.

  • Define customer requirements for product development programs for assigned products.

  • Author business plans and financial models for new product development programs for assigned products.

  • Plan and execute CCPD programs and Customer Insight Surveys for new product development programs assigned products.

  • In collaboration with MKTG, define global pricing strategy and pricing levels for assigned products

  • Establish controlled roll out (CRO) and full commercialization plans for assigned products in partnership with BU Marketing.

  • Monitor product health and customer satisfaction for assigned products.

  • Participate in Product Health Teams for assigned products. Participate on Product Health Task Teams to resolve acute issues.

  • Participate in SPPs, PQCs, and FCAs for assigned products.

  • Initiate new product health and product development programs to address product health issues.

  • Plan and execute end of life programs for assigned products.

  • Create customer / cluster communications relative to product health initiatives in partnership with BU Marketing.

  • Partner with Strategic Procurement to manage company relationships with assigned OEM suppliers. Represent Siemens as business lead in these relationships.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previous Product Manager and/or Global Marketing experience (3-5 years)

• Previous experience with in-vitro diagnostics, ideally with cardiac and/or anemia

• Strong analytical skills

• Ability to work cohesively in a team or as an individual contributor

• Conceptual creativity

• Excellent presentation skills

• Strong leadership capability
