Job Description:

Siemens Rail Automation is looking for a mid-level Financial Analyst to work in our New York City office. Here, you’ll be assisting the Accounting Manager in various finance and accounting functions. Handles month-end close process, posting of journal entries, cost controlling, recovery analysis, account reconciliation, audit support, and works with Commercial Project Managers to solve accounting issues. Occasionally supports commercial project managers with monthly reporting and forecasting and performs routine financial analysis for the business units.

Works with limited guidance, meets deadlines, is reliable, and works well with a diverse team. The ideal candidate has an open mind, good judgment and analytical skills, demonstrates the willingness to learn and handles issues proactively.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Education:

Bachelor Degree in Accounting

5+ years’ experience working with month end close, account reconciliation, audit, and cost accounting

Good analytical skills

Experience with SAP

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
