Job Description:

Siemens is looking for a cardiovascular Clinical Applications Specialist for our Mt. View, CA location specifically for Intracardiac Echo (ICE/catheter), 3D Echo and advanced 3D imaging. In this role you would utilize both your clinical and business knowledge by supporting the new product development team during the definition and development of new ICE products for Electrophysiology and structural heart procedures, evaluating imaging quality and functionality of diagnostic ultrasound against requirement specifications, operator manuals and data sheets.

A successful candidate would have 8 plus years’ experience in working with clinical cardiology(adult and pediatric) in multiple environments. Experience in EP, structural heart imaging and advanced knowledge of structural heart procedures (i.e., TAVR, Mitral Valve, ASD/PFO, LAA) required. Clinical experience with Volume ICE procedures desired. Must be RDCS certified. RVT a plus. Experience in vascular imaging a plus.

General Responsibilities:

  • Support pre-clinical and clinical studies for ICE products

  • Scan a variety of anatomy using a wide range of hardware and software configurations

  • Acquire and evaluate images and test system/software performance

  • Requirements elicitation - Stakeholder needs are gathered using clinical workflow and then documented

  • Create clinical use cases

  • Communicate imaging results to stakeholders in a technical and clinical context

  • Serve as the subject matter expert and resource for all clinical ICE issues for project teams, PLM, and other stakeholders in the new product development process.

  • Work with Product Manager to provide input towards writing customer requirements specifications for a variety of ICE products

  • Translate customer workflow requirements into detailed product specifications and represent end customer workflow needs in requirement discussions.

  • Provide customer feedback, clinical perspective and feedback to PLM teams that impact the design of new products including scanning, image evaluation, and workflow input.

  • Assist in the clinical evaluation of new products for PLM; this evaluation can impact the design and introduction to the market.

  • Support trade shows and other training and marketing events.

  • Document and track software bugs

  • Validation of customer requirements specifications

  • Basic strategic understanding of Siemens' and competitors' products and workflow

  • Make recommendations to engineers by integrating clinical and product information

  • Identify opportunities for product improvement

  • Provide input to the Clinical Education team on all ICE products
