The Applied Statistician will be responsible for the development and mastery for the statistical analysis and implementation of statistical methods for NI POC key programs and projects.
Major Job Responsibilities
Implementation and management of Statistical Process Control, Statistical Quality Control, Parametric Release projects and processes.
Development and implementation of various method validations in support of testing, inspection, and manufacturing processes.
Statistical data analysis to drive process improvement
Test & Inspection Method Development and Plans.
Test study development in support of process characterizations.
Sampling plan development in support of CAPA root cause investigations and verification of effectiveness activities.
Support of the NI POC Business Excellence program through Six Sigma and Lean.
Develop and establish Statistical Process Control projects
Support Calibration systems and approve requirements.
Support Environmental Monitoring systems
Support design and process change requirements
Support Risk Management requirements
Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Project Management: Ability to lead cross functional projects.
Typically 5-8 years of successful experience in applied statistical methodology with direct implementation knowledge and capability regarding SPC and SQC programs.
Practical analytical data analysis skill regarding the interpretation and development of test & inspection method validation and statistical sampling plans.
Solid interpersonal and collaboration skills
Knowledgeableof 21 CFR Part 820 regulations and ISO 13485 standard requirements.
Job Family Responsibilities:
Analyze complex production and quality trend data to identify and solve problems. Designs and develops systems for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality data. Perform economic implication analyses, prepares reports of findings and carries out complicated implementation and training assignments.
Preferred PhD in Applied Statistics, Computational Mathematics or similar or equivalent combinationof education and experience. 5-8 years of direct experience as a statistician in a similar environment. Prefer discipline in Project Management, Six Sigma, Statistical Data Analysis. Certification as CRE and/or Six Sigma Master Black Belt a plus.
Knowledge and Experience: Demonstrates successful completion of complex assignments. Successfully applies complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization. Demonstrates knowledge of organization's business practices and issues.

Provides direct guidance or training to support and/or professional staff

Primarily intra-organizational contacts and external contacts.
