Job Description:

Position Overview

Leads, manages and oversees the zones energy service business. Directs team of energy engineers to development and implement energy service strategies that include facility site visits and audits to qualify, identify and quantify simple to complex facility improvement measures (FIMS) and opportunities; communicates requirements with internal resources and outside vendors on FIMS; leads or assists in the development of proposals and reports; develops measurement, fault detection/ diagnostic and performance assurance plans; monitors project performance; and performs retro-commissioning and other energy services. Works directly with sales and branch operations in developing account strategies to grow our energy services business line.

Responsible for the development of the energy engineering team through the PMP process.


Manages installation and/or service operations of large field unit, including creating and implementing work plans for all supporting operations personnel. Directs the negotiations of maintenance and service agreements for a large division or SOC and is responsible for their execution. Directs projects within the business, including project organization, definition, planning, implementation and control. Directs operational activities, assesses resource allocation needs, directs improvements and maximizing price realization, margin, profit and labor utilization. Advises on strategic and tactical operations planning. Monitors large or key account operations to ensure customer satisfaction. Ensures the availability of material to complete jobs on time while controlling carrying costs of inventory. Manages job cost re-estimates.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification may be required in some areas.

Demonstrates and applies advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures for area managed and expert knowledge of other areas in the company and how they interact. Demonstrates advance understanding and application of management approaches for work direction, motivation, and performance management. Typically 10+ years of successful experience in a directly related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.
