The Siemens PLM Strategic Student Program (SSP) is a unique opportunity for undergraduate college students to gain real world working experiences in the growing field of software and digitalization. We are actively recruiting for several student Co-Op’s to work through various rotations/semesters in software development. Our Lifecycle Collaboration division, which develops our Teamcenter software product, is the virtual gateway to a company’s product information connecting all who need to collaborate with a product and process knowledge. Teamcenter enables you to digitally manage your product and manufacturing data in the context of the products life.

Your major responsibility will be in the design and development of Teamcenter framework and tools. You will develop software in Java/JSP/Servlets/C++/Perl/Batch programming languages, do web development and be a member of a Teamcenter development team focused on Teamcenter projects and tools, utility and script development for automation. Responsibilities include requirements definition, in-depth analysis, and design, code implementation. You will also be working to define innovative approaches and determine software solutions to implement new functionality.
This Team is focused on delivering LCS solution to improve the Teamcenter experience of customer and internal development. The developer will work closely with product development teams, product management, Design Office, GTAC, services, and will help in developing solution.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Design and implement Teamcenter framework for the Teamcenter product
Improvements through projects implementation
Develop tools, utilities and scripts for automation
Perform the steps in Software development life cycle (specs, design, construction, test plan and execution) for projects.
Able to write clean, robust and maintainable code to minimize the cost of defects over time.
Validate/ensure the quality of the software through unit and consolidation testing, writing automated tests, and bug fixing.
You must be a student at the University of Cincinnati.
Minimum GPA of 3.0.
You must be a US citizen or green card holder.
Enrolled in a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering or another related technical discipline.
