As a Siemens PLM Consumer Products & Retail Industry Co-op working on our premiere, world class PLM portfolio, the future of how consumer products companies design and manufacture is in your hands! Our Co-op program will allow you to work with one of the very few pure software development firms in Cincinnati! Our long term goal is to provide you building blocks for each successive rotation/semester you return to Siemens PLM Software. With each rotation, you will delve deeper into both the business and technical sides of solution development and delivery. You will begin your initial rotation familiarizing yourself with the company, completing smaller scale tasks and projects. As your skills increase, your responsibility and assignments will grow with you on each consecutive rotation with PLM.

Co-op Duties and Expectations:

As a Co-op in Consumer Products & Retail Industry group you will get exposure to all phases of our industry development methodology. Your focus will be the process and user interface design on solutions. You will have a unique opportunity to help define a ‘new way to work’ that leverages our newest technologies and capabilities. You will be able to interface with business leaders, but also software product managers. It is your opportunity to work with a team to define best practices of the future and design solutions that will deliver them. A full cycle of solution definition and development will be typically be longer than one semester. So, returning semesters will often have a different focus than the previous semester. For example, one semester you may work on defining or documenting a solution definition, while a future semester may focus on improving the quality of the software and prototyping ideas for the next release.

• Use industry standards to define and document work process and solution definition.

• Create user interface style sheets to define a user experience.

• Work with the mentor to understand the needs and functionality of the area assigned to student.

• Follow the enumerated steps in the SPLM Solution definition methodology so that process and solution definition can be used by product managers and service leaders across the globe.

Minimum Requirements:

• Studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Process Engineering or closely related field.

• GPA of a 3.0 or higher

• U.S. citizen or Green Card Holder eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

• Must have demonstrated skills in:

o Advanced MS Office Capabilities

o Business Process Model and Notation

o Visio

o UML – Unified Modeling Language.

• Ability to continually improve and learn new areas, including new programming languages

• Ability to work well in a team

• Ability to effectively communicate, especially the ability to articulate technical content

• Proactive
