This senior position will be responsible for acting as a Program Architect within a Program Office consisting of the chief product owner, chief scrum master, and other cross team support personnel that make up that team. The program is for the agile development of a large enterprise application called Active Workspace.
The role of the program architect is to lead a guild of architects that are among the scrum teams responsible for the architecture of Active Workspace. The role is responsible for ensuring that architectural principles are followed and evolved as needed. They lead the planning
for architectural investments and manage the cross domain contribution process. The position requires a strong communicator and motivator to
foster communication between and consensus across teams. The person filling the role should be self-motivated, self-directing and possess a
strong work ethic.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline
• 10+ years of experience in software development
• Experience with technical lead of complex development projects
• Experienced in development of n-tier systems
• Solid knowledge of enterprise software architectures and platforms
• Experience with good software design principles and patterns
2+ years experience in Agile environments.
-This person should have worked on large enterprise systems in the past and been part of the architecture, design team or been a significant contributor or lead designer for a technically challenging project.
-Excellent communication skills and an ability to explain complex ideas to development groups and to customers is a must.
-Should be capable of defining a vision and communicating and executing to it.
-Must be able to simultaneously focus on the big picture while maintain hands-on the code and detail. Capable of working with product management, customers, development teams and various stake holders to gather requirements and build
