As a Capital Spare Parts Project Manager for the Siemens Mobility, Customer Services business you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team that defines, develops, documents, and executes Spare Part contracts in support of our Rolling Stock, Train manufacturing business.
This role works closely with numerous internal resources such as: Business Development, Engineering, Procurement and Senior Management; as well as interfacing with external customers.
The ideal candidate will be self motivated, organized, and demonstrate effective communication skills. Regular status reports will be presented to both internal management and external customers. Demonstrated success in working with and supporting cross functional teams of professionals. Ability to work within teams in order to conceptualize ideas, make recommendations and facilitate a team consensus to move forward. Flexibility to adjust and thrive in a dynamic environment with changing
requirements, schedules and priorities.
Project Management experience is beneficial, along with the ability to learn basic technical aspects of complex product offerings. Candidate needs to be competent with the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
In this role you will also support the development of project/program plan. Supports delivery of semi-complex project or program. You will participate in project/program management activities (defining scheduling, budget, risk, change, opportunity and resource management activities). You will participate in technical review of system design and documentation. Finally you will participate in continuous improvement activities and additionally may support sales activities and client relationships
BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification may be required in some areas.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of field of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments. Successfully applies complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization. Demonstrates knowledge of organization's business practices and issues .A minimum of 2 years of successful experience in a Project Management or related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.
