Position Overview:

We are seeking a QE (Quality Engineering) expert and leader to inspire and grow our Quality team. The Quality Engineer would provide leadership support to the local quality and manufacturing staff, drive Quality Improvement Projects across the business and champion the Quality Management Software (CATSweb).

Responsibilities

1/. Provide leadership support to the local quality staff.

2/. Support the manufacturing staff to ensure product quality requirements are met.

3/. Identify and champion initiatives to improve quality processes.

4/. Development, Deployment and Ownership of CATSweb, electronic Quality Management Software.

5/. Development, Monitoring and Reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to ensure quality objectives are met.

6/. Lead cross functional problem solving teams with focused root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions based on business needs and/or KPI’s.

7/. Ensure inspection and part qualification processes are maintained to required levels.

8/. Actively participate in the maintenance of the Quality Management System to ensure compliance to the ISO standard.

9/. Participation in the Internal Audit program to ensure ongoing compliance is maintained.

Required Knowledge and Experience:

1/. 3-5 years experience in a quality engineering role including audits and long term corrective action implementation

2/. Ability to resolve complex problems independently and lead teams to implement solutions.

3/. Broad knowledge of quality systems and approaches including ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 9001:2015.

4/. Knowledge of process improvement tools and methodologies such as Root Cause Analysis, Six Sigma, Kaizen and Lean principles.

5/. Good communication skills and familiar with communicating on all levels of an organization

6/. Technical background and ability to understand electrical equipment functionality and components.

7/. Competency in Microsoft Office Suite required; SAP Competency preferred

8/. Desired Certifications – ISO 9001 Quality Auditor.

9/.Bachelor of Science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
