Job Description:

Shared Service Accounting/HC AC AME USA Reporting

Specific Requirements

Service Accounting organization provides Accounting and Reporting support and direction on various general ledgers and operating companies. The Accountant will work with his or her Manager and HQ to oversee accounting processes for HC AC AME USA ESPRIT closing and reporting provided to all US and Canadian companies. The Accountant will also work directly with the business on complex accounting activities such as account reconciliations and preparation/and approval of journal entries. They will provide support and guidance in accordance to Siemens Financial Reporting Guidelines and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), and communicate changes related to the Reporting and Accounting guidelines. The candidate will analyze and maintain ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and fiscal reports, and will ensure accurate and complete monthly reporting.

Responsibilities:

˗ Prepare monthly/quarterly reporting, SAP, ESPRIT, ADSTAR

˗ Support month-end/Quarterly close process

˗ Support and maintain Trintech Account Reconciliations Software Program

˗ Prepare/Review various account reconciliations for four companies

˗ Complete quarterly role reviews for all ESPRIT/ADSTAR/Global Doc and Support Function users

˗ Excellent verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills

˗ Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

˗ Strong understanding of ESPRIT

˗ Maintain and process complex entries in accordance with IFRS/GAAP requirements

˗ Prepare journal entries and analyze complex schedules such as Stock/Share match/Workers Compensation/Pension.

˗ Implement process improvements; special projects as assigned.

˗ Proficient in SAP and in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.

˗ Knowledge of Siemens Financial Reporting Guidelines preferred.

˗ Must display a high level of critical thinking, bringing successful resolution to high-impact, complex and/or cross functional problems.

˗ Experience closing and reporting of monthly financials.

˗ Well versed in GAAP and IFRS.

˗ Accuracy and attention to detail is critical.

˗ Proven analytical and problem solving abilities

˗ Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of field of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments. Successfully applies complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization

˗ Demonstrates knowledge of organization's business practices and issues.

˗ Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.

CPA Preferred

Typically 5 to 8 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key

Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.

SAP experience preferred.

General Requirements

Performs complex accounting activities such as account reconciliation and preparation of journal entries; may include tax accounting activities. Completes various accounting and/or tax reports. Prepares and maintains ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and fiscal reports. Maintains and processes complex entries in accordance with US GAAP.

Education:

BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification may be required in some areas.

Knowledge and Experience:

Demonstrates and applies a broad knowledge of field of specialization through successful completion of moderately complex assignments. Successfully applies complex knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization.
