Job Description:

Position Overview:

Reference Laboratories do approximately 20% of lab testing in USA. The largest reference laboratories are professionally run multi-billion dollar companies. These are Siemens top customers.

Siemens is seeking an individual who can strategically manage one of these large reference laboratory customers by increasing customer satisfaction and share of wallet.

Responsibilities:

Include but not limited to:

  • Achieves business objectives for the assigned reference laboratory.

-Guides the development of strategy for all disciplines of the laboratory to take the customer from a “preferred supplier” status to a “partner” status

  • Seeks opportunities to increase Siemens “share of wallet”

-Guides the development and execution of Account Business Plans to ensure achievement of assigned business goals and budgets

  • Possesses the ability to mobilize and leverage Siemens Business Areas and US Marketing on a national and/or global basis to achieve the Account Business plan.

  • Liaises with the local sales organizations to drive the business strategy with acquisitions and Managed Hospitals

-Develops, builds and cultivates long-term relationships with key senior management within the customer organization

-Develops forecasts, budgets and operating plans for Siemens Diagnostics products in these accounts

  • Promotes the sale of products / solutions / services by calling on multiple locations of the assigned reference laboratory

  • Establishes and maintains relationships with executive-level management within the account.

-Leads Account Business reviews on a quarterly basis with the assigned reference laboratory

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

Candidates must possess 8-10 years of direct clinical lab diagnostics experience, Sales or Marketing.

Must have experience with Corporate Accounts and large national reference labs.

Must have the ability to present well under pressure.

Candidates for this position should possess strong communication and sales skills necessary to work with both external customer and those within our internal Business Area organization including CEO, CMO and other executive level individuals. Strong matrix management skills project orientation across all parts of the business is desired. Candidates must be familiar with and must have had previous experience with a Large Account Management Program.

Candidate should be located in the Northeast area, preferably NY, NJ or Philadelphia.
