Siemens Signaling System Manager - Rail Infrastructure in Las Vegas, Nevada

This role is based out of Las Vegas, NV, but will include approximately 20% travel to visit our suppliers and partners throughout the projects you will support. The Local System Manager in Projects (SMiP) will collaboratively work with our System Manager located in our Headquarter (HQ) to define the system requirements and establish a system concept that is optimum for complete Projects covering different Subsystem also, namely Interlocking, Train Control, Train Supervision, and Traffic Management.

What your day-to-day will look like:

System Requirements, Architecture, and Integration:

  • Define and control system architecture and concept in collaboration with HQ System Manager.

  • Verify and support approval of System Requirements Specification (SRS).

  • Act as liaison between project, Bid Group, Development, Product Management, Engineering, and customer.

  • Ensure compliance with technical standards and regulations.

  • Analyze, define, and describe subsystems and interfaces.

  • Coordinate integration of interfaces between partners.

  • Develop and implement system engineering plans and procedures.

  • Coordinate integration with the civil works Engineering team.

  • Support RAMS analyses and system architecture impact analyses.

  • Design IT SEC concept in coordination with Product & Solution Security Expert.

Leadership and Project Execution:

  • Coordinate implementation of signaling subsystems.

  • Act as local technical contact for the signaling system.

  • Lead system solution and integration process.

  • Review designs and coordinate action plans.

  • Lead technical liaison meetings with customers, suppliers, and internal groups.

  • Support coordination planning and testing of on-site activities.

  • Give technical support to manufacturing and commissioning engineers.

To thrive in this role, you have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Systems Engineering, preferably with railway-specific specialization. Master's degree or equivalent experience in Information Science or an Engineering subject area preferred.

  • Extensive professional experience (8+ years) in railway transportation systems, ideally in the rail systems business.

  • 5+ years of SW/HW engineering in either Interlocking, Train Control System or ATS/TMS

  • It would be ideal if you have similar experience with high-speed Signaling ETCS Projects

  • Proven experience in a multi-tasking Project role.

  • Knowledge of Project Management principles for planning, scheduling, and budget

The base salary range for this position in Las Vegas, NV, is $120,300 - $162,400. The annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
