We seek a highly skilled and experienced Requirements Manager to join our dynamic team in developing a pioneering high-speed rail system. As the Requirements Manager, you will ensure the project meets all necessary functional, technical, and regulatory requirements. This role is based out of Las Vegas, NV, but will include approximately 10% travel to visit our partners throughout the projects you will support.

What your day-to-day will look like:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive requirements management plan for the high-speed rail system, including gathering, documenting, tracing, and tracking all project requirements.

  • Collaborate with subject areas (e.g., electrification, signaling, communication, track, civil, etc.) to ensure that the requirements of each discipline are represented and traced at the system and customer levels.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to elicit, analyze, and prioritize requirements, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.

  • Create clear and concise system requirement specifications, ensuring complete, unambiguous, and verifiable requirements.

  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive Requirement Verification Traceability Matrix (RVTM)

  • Conduct regular reviews and validations of requirements to ensure accuracy, consistency, and traceability.

  • Manage changes to requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring proper impact analysis and documentation.

  • Manages technical requirements in a requirements management tool (e.g., DOORS) and ensures the requirements are correctly traced to various technological artifacts (e.g., design, test, RAMS).

  • Coordinate with internal fields and external team members to resolve requirement-related issues and conflicts.

  • Establish and facilitate requirements-related status meetings, workshops, and presentations to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

  • Establish key project metrics to assess and report on all aspects of Requirement Management throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Use industry best practices and tools to manage and document requirements effectively.

  • Supports project management in the change and scope management process.

To thrive in this role, you have:

  • 5-8 years of experience in a directly related field and a BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred, Masters, PhD, MBA.

  • Proven experience in requirements management for large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in the transportation or rail industry.

  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and methodologies.

  • Proficiency in requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation techniques.

  • Experience with requirements management tools and software (e.g., DOORs, Polarion).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multi-functional teams and partners.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking ability.

  • Meticulous with a focus on accuracy and quality.

  • Experience with safety and security-critical systems.

  • Technical knowledge of operations concepts in the rail industry is a plus.

  • Excellent technical writing skills

The base salary range for this position in Las Vegas, NV, is $120,300 - $162,400, and the annual incentive target is 10% of the base salary. The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
