Product Define Manager 4 - Scanner Applications
The position of Product Define Manager – Scanner Applications is responsible for the product life cycle management of scanner applications in the Siemens Molecular Imaging (MI) portfolio.
Primarily this role is accountable forunderstanding the SPECT, SPECT/CT and PET/CT medical imaging market and managing corresponding Siemens MI software products through their product life cycle, spanning initial product proposal through product definition, market entry and product phase out.
This position and its deliverables are vital to the success of Siemens Molecular Imaging as market leaders in the medical imaging modalities of SPECT, SPECT/CT and PET/CT.
The positionreports to the Director, Applications and Workplaces, andcan be located in any of the following locations:
· Knoxville, Tennessee
· Hoffman Estates, Illinois
· Forchheim, Germany
Travel between all three sites will be required on a regular basis (with at least one transatlantic trip per quarter).
The specific responsibilities and deliverables of the role are the following:
Develop strategy & requirements for image post processing applications on the scanner console
Participate in internal Siemens cross-business line (xBL) software platform roadmap activities to contribute to software strategic development
Represent MI in xBL software platform scoping meetings to ensure appropriate prioritization of MI relevant requirements
Act as liaison with CT business line on software requirements needs for hybrid scanner development
Develop strategy for MI integration into Siemens teamplay cloud-based network
Participate in product strategy and roadmap planning, inbound market analysis, competitive positioning and sales analysis
Solicit customer and user requirements and specify and maintain market and system requirements
Drive business case development, project scoping, requirements prioritization and concept development to create product releases that meet business objectives
Support R&D in realization of product releases through project reporting, risk analysis, change control and the gathering/dissemination of customer feedback
Contribute to the development of key product claims and a compelling marketing story for each release
Establish product configuration strategy, price book content and pricing
Develop key customer relationships and plan and direct customer use testing
Plan and conduct training and product rollout to applications and product specialists
Participate in install base, sustaining and product complaint management
Interface with marketing, sales, technology, engineering, manufacturing, service, clinical applications, legal, logistics, quality and regulatory
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Nuclear Medicine technologist or medical physicist or bachelor’s degree in a related technical or marketing field with 5-8 years working experience
Product management experience in medical imaging (5-8 years)
· Deep understanding and experience of Molecular Imaging Domain, Clinical Use Cases, Portfolio and Customer needs
Experience in regulated medical device development projects (4-5 years)
Demonstrated success leading cross functional and cross-site teams
Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Comfortable working in a clinical environment (radiology / nuclear medicine)
Travel 25% domestic and international
