Open to qualified candidates in the Southeastern Georgia/Northern Florida areas, the Technical Application Specialist –SYVA (TAS) will solve problems independently and within established policies and procedures. The primary objective is “to do what it takes” to ensure customer satisfaction as well as timely system implementation and training.
This position is responsible for the orchestration of implementation plans with customers for new instruments; will provide pre and post implementation support for a variety of clinical and non-clinical laboratory customers. The TAS will be responsible for the timely completion of new system implementations, method validation, customer training, assay addition, and troubleshooting technical issues. The TAS will ( be further be )responsible for managing their customer base in the states of Georgia and Florida in accordance with Siemens policies.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
Seeking individuals with a technical knowledge of medical technology or toxicology, currently or formerly working as a Medical Technologist or Toxicologist.
Requires BA/BS in Medical technology or other science field. Job will require 80 percent travel. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and may work with biohazard materials such as human body fluids. Clean driving record over the last 3 years is required.
Computer literacy is mandatory (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, etc.)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively handle customer problems and support the sales team’s efforts; ability to prioritize critical customers and handle the crisis customers first.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
2+ years of laboratory experience; prior field experience is preferred; strong presentation or selling skills preferred.
