As an expert in System and Software Testing, this person will work hands-on to introduce advanced test methods & techniques, improve test design and execution, and expand ongoing automation efforts with total focus on product quality.
Lead and execute verification test projects working together with the core development team. Write test plans, develop schedule and manage test resources assigned to verification projects. In addition to verification project management, the person filling this position will also develop, release, and execute test protocols, and support the automated test effort by writing/running test scripts. As a lead of the verification effort, this person will be expected to establish and support verification process improvement efforts and mentor junior-level verification test engineers.
Own the system test plan and system verification plan and the corresponding reports.
Lead planning, monitoring and control of the testing activities and tasks during integration and verification.
Review and analyze the project requirements.
Track updated requirements in the project and modify testing plans accordingly.
Devise the test objectives, test strategies and test plans.
Lead, guide and monitor the analysis, design, implementation and execution of the test cases, test procedures and test suites.
Execute test procedure as needed.
Define Product Quality metrics and put them in place.
Coordinate manual testing and automation testing to complement each other for complete testing coverage of features and system.
Ensure proper configuration management of the testware and traceability of the tests to the requirements.
Ensure the test environment is in place before test execution and managed during test execution.
Schedule the tests for execution and monitor, measure, control and report on the test progress, the product quality status and the test results, adapting the test plan and compensating as needed to adjust to evolving conditions.
Generate regular status reports.
Test Expert with considerable experience: ability to understand the big picture and support implementation of improvements planned for the system testing group.
DICOM and connectivity experience.
Ability to create multi-level plans for test group; ability to identify tasks dependencies; identify risks and propose mitigations; ability to measure testing progress and report; ability to communicate clearly and succinctly.
Communication: ability to influence and gain cross-functional recognition for test expertise
experience working with an offshore team
Ability to work in a fast-paced, global team environment with minimal supervision
Experience with medical device industry, FDA 21 CFR Design Control and the V-model a plus
Experience with MSProject, TFS and MTM a plus
Education and Experience
BS Engineering, physics or computer science (or equivalent)
10+ years in SW development or Testing SW/system products with increased responsibilities
10+ years in Ultrasound environment preferred
