Job Description:

Corporate Tax Accountant

Summary: Siemens Corporation is seeking a motivated individual for a Corporate Tax Accountant position. The position requires a team player that is highly organized, responsive, and extremely flexible and has the ability to handle multiple projects while producing accurate and timely results.

The position may be based in one of the following locations:

Orlando, FL

Iselin, NJ

Alpharetta, GA

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

-Preparation of federal and state corporate income tax returns, both consolidated and stand-alone entity.

-Ensures the accuracy of tax returns, tax provision and other required reports including retention of documentation supporting tax positions under examination by tax authorities.

-Leads in the Preparation and Review of the most complex accounting activities such as accounting for income taxes, SOA tax processes, and reconciliation of tax provision to tax return.

-Participates in the interaction with operating company management, third party advisors, external advisors and taxing authorities on tax compliance, planning and controversy issues.

-Ensures improvements to compliance and provision processes.

-Proactively seeking new tax planning opportunities and attempting to find effective tax rate reductions.

-Demonstrates general knowledge of organization’s business and contributes to problem resolution for issues identified.

Qualifications, including Education:

-BS/BA in Accounting required. Masters Degree in tax or accounting a plus.

-CPA preferred.

-Corporate Tax experience, 5 plus years preferred, public accounting tax experience preferred

-Experience in preparing federal and/or state corporate income tax returns required

-Experience in preparing consolidated federal and state corporate income tax returns preferred

-Extensive technical and practical knowledge of corporate income tax and tax provision

-Strong oral and written communication skills

-Excellent organizational/analytical skills

-Organized and flexible - ability to manage multiple projects/assignments, while meeting deadlines

-Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat

-Experience with Corptax Software a plus

-Experience with SAP a plus
