Job Description:

Position Overview:

Works as part of a multi-discipline team to design, implement and test highly scalable distributed software applications in a structured software engineering environment with focus on quality and customer satisfaction. Work under direction of lead software engineers to code software systems and work with system test and quality groups to ensure the highest level of product quality.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Education :

•2-5 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Knowledge and Responsibilities.

•Strong verbal and written communication skills

•Proficiency in C/C++, C#.

•Knowledge of Microsoft WPF, and Java is preferred.

•Practical or classroom experience developing in a Windows environment

•Solid understanding of SQL and database applications

•Project experience with Graphical User Interface (GUI) development

•Must exhibit an understanding and willingness to utilize formal structured software engineering processes such as Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMi) Level 3

•US Citizenship or Permanent Residency required

•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Computer Engineering required.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

•Experience developing software/systems from functional requirements

•Experience developing software using Microsoft Visual Studio 2008, or greater, development environment

•Good working knowledge of the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using OOD methodology

•XML and .NET framework experience

•Experience in developing software using Oracle database

•Multithreaded application development

•TCP/IP communications application development.

•Software Engineering, Programming Certifications.

Additional Beneficial Experience:

•Distributed systems architecture

•Windows Asynchronous I/O, memory mapped files, and shared memory

•SQL experience

•Database interfacing from C, C++ and Java

•J2EE, SOAP, and serial protocol communication


•Up to 25% for customer meetings and integration testing at customer sites
