Job Description:

This position could be location in Mount Prospect, IL; Plymouth, MI or Indianapolis, IN

Position Overview:

"Are you ready to improve today's building to the expected performance of tomorrow?"

  • Consult with Sales Executives, Energy Engineers, and Building Owners to develop and deliver the Commissioning Advantage project portfolio.

-Develop, Plan, Coordinate, and Perform the five phases of existing building commissioning projects.

  • Identify, quantify, scope, and provide a budget to complete existing building commissioning opportunities.

  • Work with the Zone Energy Services Manager and a team of 6-8 engineers to develop and execute projects.

Responsibilities

This role focuses on developing, presenting, and executing the Commissioning Advantage Portfolio to existing and new service customers in both Siemens Controls systems and 3 rd party platforms across the Midwest Zone (Indiana, Michigan, Illinois, Wisconsin, Missouri, Iowa, Minnesota, Kansas, Nebraska, North and South Dakota).

  • Assist the local Service Sales Executives in developing a project funnel of projects focusing on:

  • Commissioning Advantage

  • Controls Optimization

  • Fast Forward Energy Optimizations

  • As part of a functional group including Energy Engineers, quantify the Financial Impact of these projects for our customers. Directly reporting on the following:

  • Project Costs

  • Project Savings

  • Utility Incentives and Rebates

  • Changes to Cost of Ownership

  • Coordinate the Implementation Effort with Local Resources

  • Write detailed Scopes of Work, Working Instructions and Sequences of Operation

-Directly responsible for successful completion of the following deliverables through coordinated team effort:

  • Commissioning Plan to address Current Facility Requirements of the Project.

  • Functional Performance Testing Plan (and performance of testing)

  • Diagnostic Monitoring Plans (and implementation)

  • Commissioning Corrective Actions Matrix

  • Implementation Plans (Scopes of Work for implementation)

  • Owner Training Plan (and conducting training)

  • Monitoring Based Commissioning plans (Persistence Phase using Navigator Platform, Trending, etc.)

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

The successful candidate will have a diverse background including the following:

  • Engineering Education, BS in Mechanical Engineering preferred.

  • More than 5 years experience HVAC and Temperature Controls. Extensive experience (HVAC design, commissioning, or service technicians) will also be considered in lieu of an engineering degree.

  • Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems required –

  • Air Side Systems including Dual Duct, Multizone, VAV, VRF, DOA,

  • Air and Water Cooled Chilled Water Plants

  • Boiler Plants (Steam and Hot Water)

  • Pumping and Piping Systems

  • Domestic Hot Water Systems

  • Terminal Equipment and Controllers including VAV Reheat, Fan Coil Units, VRF Cartridges, etc.

  • Accreditation for Existing Building Commissioning from a National Body (AEE, ASHRAE, AABC, BCA, or equivalent)

  • Ability to travel 50+% of the time.
