To test the feasibility of an idea, understand the customer expectations from the product, design due diligence and develop a working prototype
To convert innovative ideas into marketable prototypes
Candidate will serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for the virtual application/desktop environment. Responsibilities :
Work closely with the idea screening manager to develop the pipeline of implementable ideas into product concepts
Designs, implements and supports HealthCare product virtualization systems, using various Virtualization technologies.
Designs, plans, and integrates cloud computing and virtualization systems.
Develops and conducts testing of cloud and virtualization systems.
Develop product specifications by understanding customer expectations and competitor offerings
Work with the legal and compliance departments to understand legal aspects around the new product
Work with development team to build a working prototype and demonstrate it to business stakeholders
Work with the business stakeholders and IT teams to take the prototype to full scale operation.
Performs the full lifecycle management (analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, integration and maintenance) of the virtualization infrastructure, including testing of new hypervisors, integration with automation front ends and Cloud offerings.
Must be able to solve complex, new problems involving the integration of a wide variety of technologies including servers, storage, networking, software, middleware and all systems supporting the virtual environments with very little oversight or direction.
Maintain current technical knowledge to support rapidly changing technologies.
Position will be responsible for all planning activities as well such as capacity, scalability, robustness and must be able to quickly learn new technologies make recommendations to solve new problems.
Provides support, consultation and excellent customer service to clients in order implement new information technology systems.
Troubleshoots problems, responds to escalation and performs repairs as needed. 24x7 on-call support duties and wiliness to work alternate shifts.
Evaluations of new platforms and technologies.

Knowledge and Experience:
Demonstrates extensive knowledge in field of specialization or multiple disciplines to the successful completion of complex assignments. Successfully serves as point of authority and/or source of technical/scientific knowledge for area of expertise. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of organization's business practices and issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of those issues. Typically 5-8 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable..
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification may be required in some areas.
Knowledge and Experience:
Strong experience with designing, implementing, or operating IT systems on leading commercial Cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and Google
Deep experience with IT systems in an enterprise environment using virtualization or private Cloud technologies, including VMware, OpenStack, OpenShift, Xen, and Hyper-V
Ability to use prototyping tools, program in higher level languages
5+ years of experience with virtualization technologies in a production environment.
Deep understanding of virtualization philosophies and principals.
Experience in designing, implementing, migrating, supporting and administering multiple Citrix and VMWare products including: Citrix XenApp, Citrix XenDesktop, Citrix Access Gateway, and VMware Horizon/View in a large, complex environment.
Work with engineering teams to design and optimize a wide variety of development projects using varied IT tools and practices.
At least 3-5 years’ experience in VMWare, Cloud Architecture on Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, Datacenter, System Infrastructure Administration & solution design.
Good communication skills and ability & desire to work as a team player
Advanced presentation skills.
Able to work with a minimum of technical supervision and supplemental engineering support, while responding efficiently to multiple priorities
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Advanced degree in related field
Experience working with or within Healthcare
Project Management experience
