Analyzes, evaluates, and plans very complex methods of approach, and organizes means to achieve the solution to problems. Interprets and evaluates test data and results of very complex investigation and develops appropriate recommendations. Develops reports, charts, graphs, and other documents and makes recommendations to senior staff. Develops the design of a variety of very complex products, processes, and components. Reviews and approves related inputs such as very complex drawings and specifications prepared by technical support personnel.

We are seeking such talent to investigate, develop, and evaluate a range of technologies that will enable our products to provide breakthrough healthcare solutions. You will work in a multi-disciplinary team with access to luminary clinical researchers worldwide, and you should have a passion to understand and address clinical problems in this field. You should be comfortable to take on large and complex problems as an individual contributor or as part of a larger team. In this role you will contribute and lead the research and development efforts in emission tomography reconstruction to support next generation image formation concepts using your ability to develop algorithms, handle large computational problems and implement rapidly prototypes and tools. Your excellent communication skills and expertise will also allow you to provide technical support to service and marketing in addressing customer complaints and inquiries, and successfully collaborate with luminary clinical sites worldwide to test new technologies.
• Ph.D. in an area of computational sciences, and physics
• Expert level knowledge of iterative reconstruction of inverse problems is strongly desired, in particular in emission tomography
• Experience in image processing desired
• Experience in parallel and high performance computing with hands on experience using object oriented programming of CUDA/OpenCL, Matlab, C/C++/C# on Windows (must), Linux/Unix platforms
• Experience in distributed computing including deployment on the cloud desired
• Demonstrated strong analytical and data analysis skills
• Demonstrated ability of rapid prototype development
• Ability to communicate with both scientists and non-scientists is essential
