Job Description:

Position Overview

The Advanced Therapy (AT) division of Siemens Healthineers is looking for outstanding candidates to participate in our Internship/Co-op program at our Hoffman Estates, IL facility. This department develops hemodynamic and electrophysiological recording systems for the Cardiac Catheterization lab.

This position is for the Winter 2018 timeframe (January - May)

Responsibilities

Assist with the Development of software for Hemodynamic/Electrophysiology Recording Systems:

  • Write software applications (tools, utilities, prototypes) which support the main Sensis software application and related development processes.

  • Assists Systems Engineers with requirements documentation

  • Installation of production equivalent software on prototype systems

  • Engineering and integration level testing and debugging

  • Defect analysis and tracking.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

Candidates should have classroom knowledge or experience in the following areas:

  • Experience with C++, C#, and Visual Studio.

  • Experience with object-oriented methodologies and design tools

  • Problem solving skills & high motivation to solve problems

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Experience troubleshooting in Windows operating system environment

  • Experience in Microsoft Office products is a plus.

  • Experience with SQL a plus.

Educational disciplines

Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering.
