To help drive the delivery of solutionsthe Siemens Healthcare-Advanced Therapy Division is looking for an outstanding candidate to develop next generation of algorithms for the ‘Advanced Applications’ team in Hoffman Estates, IL location.
The Advanced Therapy division is one of the top-performing business units within Siemens Healthineers and a leading supplier of innovative, market-driven solutions.
Essential Job Functions
Development of software for advanced imaging clinical solutions:
Apply leading edge Machine Learning \Artificial Intelligence approach to analyzing digital radiographic X-Ray imaging data.
Research & Develop imaging and visualization solutions for clinical applications
Software development for proof of concept and productizationusing the latest in windows compilers
Design, implementation, integration and testing of clinical application software for deployment across company's product line.
Assisting Systems Engineers with requirements analysis and review
Experience in radiographic image processing algorithm research & development with emphasis on Machine Learning\AI methodologies.
Proficiency in using 3D and 2D Deep Learning frameworks like Theano, Caffe, etc.
Proficiency in C++, Python, Matlab
Demonstrated ability to develop methodology as evidenced by publication in top tier journals
Broad thinking and understanding of science and our business to help drive creativity and innovation
Sufficient background in programming including objective oriented programming, design patterns, and general knowledge on software development..
Able to work effectively both independently and in a team environment to produce optimal results.
Ability to communicate (verbal and written) with users, designers, software engineers, marketing, and managers. Able to effectively communicate complex technical issues to others.
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to develop high performance algorithm with CPU & GPU optimizations is desired.
Ph.D\Master’s Degree in Computer Science , Biomedical Engineering or Software Engineering; with a minimum 5 to 8 years related software development experience ( significant years spent on medical imaging algorithm development).Experience could be substituted for advanced degree.
