Siemens Healthcare Internship - Embedded software development/test intern
The purpose of this job is to support the development of medical applications.
May be involved in all aspects of embedded systems development, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing and documentation.
Will be expected to write and test embedded software, execute written test procedures, document results, and to recognize/isolate system anomalies.
Tasks include writing code (C/C++) for embedded systems, troubleshooting, testing, and documentation of results. Coop will work with firmware and electrical engineers for the motion control and detector subsystems, and assist with development and test.
Provide support for system host emulator, as well as assist in the loading of software in the lab.
Coop will also help address issues arising from the Defect Handling Board, and may be asked to help out with certain administrative tasks.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
Education: Students majoring in Electrical Engineer, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
Should be willing and able to work overtime, when needed, and be flexible as to work schedule. This may include 1st or 2nd shift as required to meet the job responsibilities.
Duration: up to an 8 month internship (Jan '18 or Jun '18 start), or co-op assignment that can be flexible.
