Job Description:


Siemens Industry is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer for their Grand Prairie, Texas location. The candidate will design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes, layout, and equipment. In addition, they will participate in developing and implementing performance measurement and improvement initiatives.

Participates in inspections and investigations by gathering data related to proper utilization of company labor, equipment, materials and facilities. Advises on planning of equipment layout, workflow, and accidental prevention measures to maintain optimum and safe utilization of plant resources. Participates in determining the most economic methods, operation sequence and tooling for the fabrication of parts and finishing/assembly of components for semi-complex processes. Participates in designing and performing studies of manufacturing processes and equipment. Participates in manufacturing engineer duties, may include plant layout, scrap reduction and quality assurance functions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Education:

  1. BS/BA in Engineering, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification may be required in some areas.

  2. 2-5 years experience in Manufacturing Engineer role.

  3. 2 plus years working with LEAN principles of LEAN through successful completion of assignments.

  4. Successfully applies knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization.

  5. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Not required but would be a plus:

  1. AutoCAD

  2. Fabrication experience.
