We are seeking an experienced Automation Systems Architect to lead the charge in scoping and design for our growing automation engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating value, delivering proposals and assisting with design processes of automation projects focused on factory automation, robotics, and AI.

You will make an impact by:

• Identifying and evaluating automation opportunities in the current manufacturing facility based on Partnering with the Automation Engineering team to scope and design automation projects.

• added value, system integration, and achieving KPIs.

• Designing feasible and scalable automation solutions to promote manufacturing production and efficiency.

• Performing automation project cost benefit analysis.

• Estimating and writing proposals for potential automation projects.

• Coordinating with stakeholders to define automation requirements and translating this to simulations and functional specifications.

• Collaborating with 3rd party vendors and system integrators for automation solutions to enhance manufacturing processes.

• Assisting in automation system design and integration.

• Constructively working in an agile project environment.

You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent

• 3+ years of experience in factory automation projects and control systems – Manufacturing, automotive, food and beverage, or biopharmaceuticals.

• Understanding of control systems integration and proven experience with Siemens S7 PLCs, WinCC SCADA, HMIs, MES, IIOT, and key Industry 4.0 objectives.

• Strong Understanding of AI/robotics for industrial applications including AGVs, warehouse automaton, and manufacturing process automation.

• Excellent written skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree and/or 5+ years of experience working with AI/robotics.

• Experience working in agile, XP, or kanban project environments.

• Understanding of JIRA

• Proven Experience with CAD or other technical drawing software

• Automation scoping/estimate experience

• Proven system integration experience.

• The pay range for this position is $80,300 - $125,000. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
