Job Description:


Siemens Building Technologies is looking for an experienced Web & Mobile Developer. This person will design, develop, test, and maintain web and mobile applications that integrate with cloud-based systems of our fire solutions. The person will report to the Engineering Manager and have no direct reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain web and mobile applications.

  • Create proof of concepts for client consideration.

  • Research and recommend cutting-edge tools, frameworks and techniques.

  • Participate in the transition of technology solutions from investigation into product development.

  • Collaborate globally with IoT and cloud experts, UX analyst and product management to translate system architecture and product requirements into well implemented software components.

  • Analyze user requirements to determine feasibility of design.

  • Analyze, debug, and resolve software issues.

  • Participate in software design reviews, conduct peer code reviews, and provide input and feedback to other members of the development team.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in a system, electrical or software engineering discipline from an accredited institution.

  2. Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.

  3. Minimum of 3 years of experience building web and/or mobile solutions.

  4. Expert in one or more programming languages.

  5. Hands-on experience with Angular 2/4, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap, Javascript, Typescript.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Master’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.

  2. Hands-on experience with Ionic, Cordova.

  3. Experience with Agile SW development processes and tools.

  4. Experience working with mobile device technologies such as Bluetooth (LE), GPS, camera.

Position Criteria

  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment, with attention to detail.

  • Ability to mentor other team members.

  • Proven track record of successfully designing, reviewing and delivering engineering systems.
