The Warehouse Worker 3 is responsible for material handling and PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) operation in the Warehouse. The position will also have limited responsibility in Receiving of incoming goods and Shipping materials (UPS & FedEx) is also responsible for all related computer transactions in SAP.
The Warehouse Worker 3 will be familiar with all material handling functions within the Warehouse. These include, but are not limited to, the receiving of material, the put away of material into inventory, the pulling of production jobs, POU replenishment, the packaging and shipment of material, and the required paper work involved in each of the transactions. The Warehouse Worker 3 is required to operate material handling equipment and drive various PITs (Powered Industrial Trucks). In addition, Warehouse Worker 3 will spend between 25% to 50% of work hours processing transactions in SAP (computer based).
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
Receiving materials to include dock receipts, truck unloading, material handling and processing of receiving paperwork.
Incoming package deliveries to recipients.
Staging of materials for warehouse storage.
Incoming and outgoing replenishment of materials to production. This includes processing of Kanban bins and racks and associated processing which may include utilizing RF bar code processes.
Material storage and pull which may include utilizing RF bar code processes.
Instrument Order prep and staging for shipment.
Spares Order packing (included UPS and FedEx processing
Misc Order/box packing
Truck loading of shipments
Operation of Powered industrial trucks. (Requires a valid motor vehicle driver’s license and certification of individual equipment). Including but not limited to forklift, powered pallet, reach truck, order picker and turret truck.
Position is responsible for understanding the Quality Management System. Position needs to integrate their knowledge of the quality policy and business objectives into their work practices to augment the business such as: participating in internal audits, identifying areas which need improvement, implementing plans to correct and prevent problems.
A key responsibility of this position is to ensure that their area of responsibility is in compliance with the FDA, ISO and IVDD standards.
SAP processing for associated activities.
May perform cycle count activities including transaction and analysis functions (not applicable to all Warehouse Worker 3s).
PHYSICAL CONTEXT/WORK ENVIRONMENT :
This position includes very heavy work, frequent lifting/carrying of objects of 35lbs. or more. Additionally, computer work constitutes a large portion of daily responsibilities.
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
· High School Diploma or its equivalentor the equivalent in related work experience.
· Experience in operating various material handling equipment (Including, but not limited to, Reach Trucks, Forklifts and Order Pickers)
· Material Handling Equipment License will be provided after training
· Valid Motor Vehicle License
· Knowledge of ISO and OSHA Requirements preferred, but not required.
· Must have ability to lift, move, and organize material in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
· Previous Warehouse or Inventory Control experience necessary.
· Good organizational skills and communication skills, both oral and written.
· Demonstrated team work capabilities
· Energetic, self-starter, and works independently.
· Must have strong computer skills and experience with application software such as Microsoft Word, Excel and SAP
