Job Description:

Position Overview

This position will focus on providing engineering support and leadership for a legacy product line manufactured in Flanders NJ.

Provides solutions to complex manufacturing process problems with limited direction, working in a cross functional environment. Provides support in review of results to determine that products perform in the intended manner. Assists in standardizing materials, components and assemblies. Participates in maintaining detailed and comprehensive records of all inventive ideas, designs, and basic improvements. Provides support in documenting product issues for future reference and problem resolution. Represents manufacturing on the cross-functional product health team for the legacy product being supported.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute process and product validations.

  • Perform Process FMEAs

  • Research and resolve electro-mechanical, production assembly and/or test issues in a timely manner.

  • Design, develop and validate test fixtures to be used in-house and at vendor sites

  • Identify manufacturing issues (design/process/component) and drive resolution by participating on cross-functional or project teams.

  • Define critical processes, develop assembly and test procedures, train production personnel, and verify effectiveness of process and training

  • Supports cross functional teams in a collaborative environment

  • Supports and identifies continuous improvement/productivity initiatives

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

BS Engineering required

Experience with process FMEA

FDA/ISO/Med Device

5+ years experience

Experience with process and product validations
