Job Description:

Responsible for integration, verification and characterization of systems for all development projects. Ensures compliance to all verification and integration quality procedures and policies of product development applicable to the product development scope. Responsible for resourcing, planning and execution of all HW/SW integration, system performance optimization and system interfaces characterization activities and for quality of deliverables. Works closely with the Heads of Realiability and Test Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, SW Applications Engineering to monitor and align any unresolved resource bottlenecks as priorities and projects timelines change. Responsible for quality of deliverables to validation teams, manufacturing and service. Responsible for capturing design knowledge and root causes of product performance degradation. Responsible for continually optimizing reusable system testing infrastructure and for maintaing all system integration assets in high level of readiness. Responsible for measurable improvement of engineering excellence by using advanced tools and methods for planning and executing of system integration and design maturity management.

Direct budget responsibility for all integration resources, system test harnesses, prototype direct expenses and capital costs approvals. Total Headcount in Organization is approximately 40. Direct responsibility for timeliness and completeness of system test coverage delivered to the Validation teams.

Develops and enhances engineering best practices for integration and optimization of complex systems.

Participates in GEO DE Management Team, PLM boards and other business oriented teams as required. Ensures that inter-functional teamwork is strong at all levels of the organization. Contributes to establishment of GEO DE vision, strategy and tactics.

Establishes and administers procedures pertaining to system integration, prototype configuration management, design verification and traceability, risk management, design transfer and internal collaboration between development engineering and commercial engineering disciplines, capture and reuse of knowledge and control of the quality of engineering deliverables.

Recommends cost center budget requirements and takes action to guarantee effectivesystem integration and design assets lifecycle management performance within approved budgets.

Manages (directly and through subordinates) resources across 4 development sites. Responsible for long range resource planning, core competency identification and development of organizational structure.

Establishes adequate design history, engineering problem history and integration/verification testing evidence for all deliverables.

Develops, directs and maintains best practices maturity according to the GEO scorecard and targets.

Keeps abreast of current regulations and industry standards, through participation and research of pertinent literature.

Oversees preparation of engineering quality and productivity reports and ensures that all appropriate functional and core team representatives receive copies of these reports

Masters Degree in Engineering

Demonstrated track record of at least ten (10) years leading progressive Product Development management experience. Experienced in aspects of Agile, SCRUM and plartform based development

Strong breadth of knowledge in the fields of instrument design, development and testing. Strong background in knowledge based engineering.

Skilled in complex systems engineering

Understanding of manufacturing and quality engineering expectations and needs to bring optimal solution to the business and customers.

Ability to serve as influencer or change agent to process optimization.

Strong leadership, able to devise and communicate a clear vision for the future of engineering practices and their pertinent differentiation potential

Understand the importance of strengthening department through the development of individuals who comprise that organization. Provide challenging tasks and assignments and maintaining an active dialogue regarding performance and career paths.

Understanding of manufacturing and quality engineering expectations and needs to bring optimal solution to the business and customers
