The Project Manager has overall responsibility to manage all procurement activities for assigned major capital investment projects. This role will coordinate with multiple direct and indirect procurement organizations globally to support international sourcing activities.
• Devise and employ fruitful sourcing strategies
• Manage all project related vendor selection processes (RFP, bid tabulation, technical reviews, contract negotiation, Purchase orders, change control, etc.)
• Collaborate and coordinate with key persons to ensure the clarity of the specifications and expectations of the company
• Collaborate and coordinate with multiple internal and geographically diverse procurement organizations
• Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
• Foresee alterations in the comparative negotiating ability of suppliers and clients
• Anticipate unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies
