What does this role feel like?

You are technically responsible for our projects and sometimes act as a project manager. Together with your team you realize highly innovated and complex development projects. Responsible for the right selections on a hardware and software level. The lead engineer will head a team of up to 15 colleagues (software, hardware and commissioning engineers) which are based in the Netherlands and in other countries e.g. Germany, China. The engineering phase is your responsibility, but we won’t limit you to this. We believe being involved in the execution makes all our jobs more efficient and interesting. Your responsibilities:

  • The design of the overall solution and manage the acceptance of the system.

  • Participate in customer technical clarification workshops.

  • Ensure that safety and security standards are met and our solutions are matching regional safety standards.

  • Support pre-sales activities and support bid teams.

What we are looking for

  • Completed bachelor / master’s degree in electrical engineering or industrial automation.

  • Experience in a project management engineering environment as an engineer, including at least 5 years’ experience as a lead or senior engineer.

  • Knowledge of and experience with SIMATIC S7 program language, TIA Portal, WinCC, C++, C#, SQL.

  • Knowledge and experience of industrial (Ethernet) networks and IT security.

  • Business fluent English, ideally you also speak (and write) Dutch.

  • Driver's license B.

  • Ability to travel for reasonable periods globally.
