Presales Consultant II – Simulation software (Chicago)

Position Overview

As part of the software sales team, participate in the technical sales process to facilitate sales of Siemens Simulation software.

Responsibilities

Engage with potential and existing customers to understand customer needs and high level requirements. Utilizing knowledge of customer business needs, engineering and manufacturing processes, support product and solution positioning by preparing and delivering demonstrations of the technical capabilities of the proposed solutions to customers using standard material. Speak with authority on our customer's business issues, and how Siemens software solutions can improve their business. Support the selection of appropriate suites of technology and proposal development for customer process improvement which ensure the interoperability and effectiveness of the overall solution within the context of the customer's business.

This includes, but is not limited to, developing and conducting technical presentations and demonstrations to all levels of prospective customers, providing sales support by answering customer questions and working to resolve customer problems, becoming an expert in LMS Imagine.Lab Amesim analysis software modules, traveling to customer sites, trade shows, and seminars to perform product presentations and demonstrations, providing feedback to product development on customer requirements and product performance, maintaining product knowledge in terms of software installation, use, and applications, and maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards consistent with good judgment, company policies, and objectives. Works on projects/assignments of diverse scope. Typically works under minimal supervision on assignment/projects.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

M.S. in Engineering required

1-5+ years of experience with systems simulation software

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Must be able to travel 25-50%

Preferred:

Current US Citizenship, due to client security policies, however not a requirement

Experience with LMS Imagine.lab Amesim or other 1D simulation software
