Siemens Building Technologies is currently searching for a Sr. Sales Executive for our Fire Safety Solutions (Contractor/Construction) Sales team located in Charlotte, NC. The Solutions Sr. Sales Executive is Contractor and Consultant focused and has the primary responsibility to manage and grow the new construction fire alarm business in the assigned territory (Columbia and Upstate SC) through the electrical contracting tier and electrical consulting engineers.
Achieve Financial Sales and Gross Margin Goals for new Fire Alarm Systems
Develop and Manage relationships with Electrical and General Contractor Accounts
Develop and Manage relationships to influence increased specification rates for Siemens Fire Alarm by Electrical and Fire Protection Engineers (Lunch & Learn Technical Presentations, etc)
Achieve new customer acquisition goals
Participate in Industry and Vertical Market organizations
Prospecting, Business Development, Qualification, Funnel Management, and Strategic/Tactical Sales Development of all opportunities for new construction projects within the territory
Effectively performs needs assessments, develops sales proposals, estimates, writes specifications and delivers sales presentations
Team sells with other Salespeople as appropriate
Works with operations, finance, legal and other inside and outside resources as needed to obtain the sale
Bachelor’s Degree is preferred, although candidates with a combination of education (HS Diploma or GED equivalency a minimum) and experience will also be considered
2-5 years of meeting and succeeding quotas of selling fire alarm and/or other electrical solutions to electrical contractors preferred, although candidates with less experience may also be considered
Selling technical solutions through the contracting tier
Extensive experience with commercial fire alarm systems strongly preferred
Effective communication skills to give presentations before a broad audience
NICET Level II Certification in Fire Alarm, Fire Sprinkler or Special Hazards preferred
Extensive training in fire alarm, electronics and system applications software
Hunter sales mentality
Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver’s license in good standing; must meet eligibility requirements to drive a Siemens company vehicle
