Job Description:

Siemens US Talent Acquisition

Design, develop, modify, and implement software programming for

products (both internal and external) with focus on surpassing

customers expectations by achieving high quality and on time delivery.

Responsible for ensuring the overall functional quality of the released

product on all required platforms and mechanism. Ability to understand

complex products, solutions, and problems. Creates, documents, and

executes software designs which may involve complicated workflows or

multiple product areas. Technical project lead. Works with general

supervision on complex projects withlatitude for independent judgment.

Moderate skillswith high level of proficiency and technical expertise.

Essential

• B.S and working towards Master’s or PhD degree in Engineering,

Computer Science, Math or related field

• Experience designing, developing and deploying high-volume,

multi-tiered, distributed applications

• Experience with Hadoop stack (MapReduce, HDFS, Hive, Pig, Oozie) and

search technologies (Solr, Lucene)

• Proficiency and hands-on experience in Java, and Spring, REST/SOA

frameworks 2 years or more of experience using eclipse, maven, git,

Jenkins, nexus or equivalent technologies.

• Experience assessing performance characteristics of software

components for optimization

• Astrong background in math, statistics and advanced analytics

• Experience in multi-variant analysis techniques such as ANOVA,

Regression Analysis, PCA

• Experience withclustering and classification techniques such as

k-mean, Bayesian networks, and decision trees

• Strong analytical and quantitative problem solving ability.

• Hands-on programming experience: Java, C++, D3JS

Desirable

• Interest/Experience in Data Science or DevOps

• Experience with high volume data ingestion.

• Experience with Big Data systems in a cloud environment (Ex AWS)

• Understanding of design principles for multi-tenancy, performance,

security, high availability, & scalability in a cloud environment

• Knowledge of real-time data processing technologies such as Kafka,

Spark or Storm is a plus

• Industry expertise in electronics, manufacturing, supply chain,

and/or product quality data is a plus
