Job Description:

Participates in routine support of Siemens Customer Service Engineer's and customer IT staff to enable successful remote access of clinical systems. Provides support in recommending remote configuration of products with customers and Siemens CSE's. Assists with the configuration of new product to support both field service and product development..

The successful applicant's responsibilities will include configuring and implementing secure remote connections across multiple modality platforms, troubleshooting broken connections, maintaining documentation of all connections, both under development and established and coordinating with local hospital IT staff to achieve secure remote connectivity while simultaneously observing medical device installation deadlines.

Must possess at least 3+ years of Cisco router, VPN, firewall, and IPSEC technologies to qualify; CCNA is desired. Cisco certifications preferred. Must display excellent written, oral and time-management skills. Bachelor’s degree or 3-4 years of vocational technical training preferred.

Participates in routine product support to customers remotely or on-site Participates in disseminating product knowledge. Provides support in recommending products for customers with routine product needs to product design group. Assists with the coordination of new product introductions as they relate to product support.

Education:

Associates degree or 1-2 years of vocational technical training preferred. HS diploma or equivalent required. Specialized skill training/certification may be required.

Knowledge and Experience:

Demonstrates a basic knowledge of a technical or specialty area. Generally, up to 2 years of successful experience in area of responsibility and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above.

Key Working Relationships:

Contacts are primarily with immediate manager and others in the group.
