The position will report to the Vice President of Digital Services Operations, NAM as a Senior Director/Director to lead a team of highly skilled engineers/consultants in the execution of complex SaaS implementation projects and subsequent solution support. The successful candidate will be a highly accomplished technical leader in the fields of analytics, software development, and new product introduction; along with being exceptionally skilled at developing high performing consulting and delivery teams.
The position will need to interact at all levels of both the Siemens and client organizations. The qualified candidate has experience working in a thought leadership role ideally supporting a Population Health Management organization. He/She will need experience managing a team responsible for delivery and support of large enterprise wide projects (including acting as a master service integrator), providing expert consulting advice and solution development. Further, the position will be well versed in current and future trends in the areas of healthcare analytics and population health management. He/She will be responsible to continually evaluate solution portfolio to ensure implementation and support teams are able to deliver the highest value to meet customer needs. Additionally, the role is expected to work with product management in helping to define customer/market requirements of future solution offerings. A high level of collaboration, business/finance acumen and strong execution skills are required. There will be routine interaction with business leadership and external partners, to ensure we are driving towards meeting our common targets.
Area of responsibility has high strategic impact with P&L responsibility.
· Responsible for the recruitment, mentoring, coaching, and ongoing development of skills within technical teams responsible for delivery and support of software solutions.
· Develop three year training and development plans to keep staff ahead of future trends in the solutions to deliver population health services.
· Evaluate solutions portfolio and actively engage with product management, marketing, and sales in building new offerings to meet customer needs. This includes the ability to develop mid-level business cases in support of suggested solutions.
· Where possible, in conjunction with management direction, evaluate governing organizations/boards and participate where appropriate in areas that help drive standardization and adoption of technologies in support of population health management.
· Partner with internal operational excellence to evaluate delivery processes and improve cycle time and quality via new best practices, lean six methodologies, etcetera.
· Act as senior management escalation point for project team and customers as needed.
· Develop positive relationships with project sponsors, internal managers, project steering committee and external partners, in the delivery of Digital Services solutions/projects.
· Act as subject matter expert (or develop skills as SME) to delivery teams in the areas of:
o Big Data – Hadoop, Knime, Hortonworks, etcetera
o Data Visualization – Tableau, SAS, Qlik, Tibco, etcetera
o Languages – R, SAS, Python, Ruby on Rails, etcetera
o Database/OS – MS-SQL, ORACLE SQL, Linux, MS Servers
o Cloud Technologies – Azure and IBM Cloud
o Data Warehouse –ORACLE, Terradata, MS, etcetera
o Healthcare protocols/frameworks – HL7, DICOM, FHIR, SMART on FHIR, etcetera
BS in Computer Science, analytics, statistics, or related discipline, along with advanced degree in business or finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certifications in areas of analytics, data visualization, big data, lean six, etcetera are an advantage.
Knowledge and Experience:
Demonstrates extensive knowledge in field of specialization or multiple disciplines to the successful completion of complex assignments. Successfully serves as point of authority and/or source of technical/scientific knowledge for area of expertise. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of organization's business practices and issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of those issues. Typically 8+ years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.Preferred candidate will have experience in the Patient Health Management field. Preferred candidate will have experience with Big Data Analytics.
