Partner Eco-system Sr. Marketing Director

Position Overview:

This is a senior leadership role within the MindSphere Eco-system team. The individual is responsible for driving a cohesive strategy and tactical plans around how partners can leverage the Mindsphere program for driving business. The focus of the role will be around building programs and local events that can be executed in region to drive leads & customer engagements for partners. In addition to field execution of marketing programs this individual will drive new partner adoption and attract developers to build on the Mindsphere platform.


Key areas of focus you will be responsible for the following within your role:

Attract New Partners leveraging : Industry Events, Sales leads, Social Media : twitter, you tube, Global and regional events, Blogs, Analyst, Press, Newsletter

Create Differentiation, Develop partner specific solutions: Vertical solution focus Industry focus Connectivity solution Software integration (ISV’s), Incentives

  • Marketing Planning

  • Contribution to and support of market definitions and go-to-market strategies

  • Alignment of marketing plan to support the strategic country operating plan in alignment with the corporate guidelines

  • Fiscal planning of program budget

  • Demand Creation

  • Responsibility for the development and execution of demand creation campaigns while working with the regional sales leaders and outside agencies.

  • Accountability for objectives in relation to lead generation, lead conversion, opportunities generation and pipeline contribution.

  • Responsibility for the alignment of global marketing campaigns and guidelines with local sales goals and tracking of associated metrics to identify marketing return on investment.

  • Reputation

  • Responsibility and accountability for all marketing leadership activities including: press relations, media schedules, opinion leadership, executive engagements, technical partnerships, sponsorships and hospitalities.

  • Sales Enablement

  • Responsibility and accountability for all customer community activities including: annual user conferences, customer facing communication, customer reference programs and product/industry forums.

  • Responsibility over the communication of product and sales enablement materials and marketing activities to the country management team, as well as the direct and indirect sales forces.

  • Execution

  • Responsibility and accountability for the tracking of program budget spend vs. plan.

  • Responsibility for the localization process for the assigned country language(s).

This position requires an individual who has both marketing and sales knowledge with strong planning, analytical, execution and communication skills. Knowledge of market, IOT domain experience and the enthusiasm to communicate our vision to the market while supporting our sales team is essential.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • 10 plus years Marketing Management using Data driven/analytics

  • 10 plus years of proven marketing experience in the software industry

  • 5 plus years’ experience managing staff, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales and marketing programs

  • 5 plus years’ experience designing marketing strategy/plans aligned with to go-to-market and sales priorities

  • 5 plus years’ experience in lead generation, reputation, account based marketing, digital marketing, web strategies, events marketing and marketing promotion.

  • Strong project management and collaboration skills

  • Ability to work and deliver to a deadline with high quality work

  • Ability to work with others and build consensus based decisions

  • Ability to collect input from various teams and decide optimal plan

  • Ability to travel (25 - 50 percent)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA is desirable or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Administration

  • Strong knowledge of the IOT market

  • Deep knowledge of the Siemens PLM Software product portfolio & MindSphere
