Siemens Building Technologies is currently searching for an experienced Business Development Manager to lead business development activities for our Building Automation Service Sales group for the Greater Philadelphia Area. The focus for the Business Development Manager will be on driving various Building Automation Service initiatives into Siemens end user accounts. These initiatives include but are not limited to: Chilled Water Optimization Solutions, Building Commissioning, Remote Fault Detection and Diagnostics, Proven Outcome Based Services and Electrical Services. The goal is to become a subject matter expert on these initiatives and then work with the Building Automation Service Sales force to sell these initiatives into our existing end user accounts and competitive accounts.
Learn and understand the various Building Automation Service initiatives and become a local subject matter expert on them. Understand the processes to implement these solutions.
Educate and train the sales team on the technical attributes and the business propositions of these initiatives.
Assist the Building Automation Sales Team in driving the sales of these initiatives into existing end user accounts and competitive accounts.
Follow through on sold projects to assure customer satisfaction.
Work with home office to develop customer presentations and lead these presentations with the sales team.
Research the competitor’s offerings and understand and articulate our value proposition with respect to the competition.
Support local sales management in planning and forecasting on a routine basis.
Maintain technical competence of company’s products, applications and services. Represent Siemens with active participation in industry associations, professional organization and affiliations.
Qualifications the ideal candidate will have:
Bachelors of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience (High School Diploma or GED equivalent a minimum requirement)
PE License and LEED GA/AP strongly desired
Five years or more experience in HVAC, controls or related industry
Knowledge of Siemens Industry products and solution sets desired
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must possess an outgoing personality, be able to present themselves and Siemens Industry, Inc. in a professional and positive way, be technically astute and work well in a team environment
Demonstrates a superior knowledge of professional principles and skills
Individual must possess a valid Driver's license in good standing, and must be at least 21 years of age in order to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan
