Job Description:

Position Overview

Performs complex design, maintenance, enhancement, testing, implementation, and support of software for customer equipment. Completes the development of software test requirements for complex modules under development, executes complex test specifications. Completes estimates for complex modules under development, and estimates own work. Performs reviews of complex customers' standards specification and other documentation to determine software engineering requirements. Performs presentations of complex technical findings and developments. Completes the software quality process through the execution of complex module, subsystem and system test procedures.

This position is part of a project/solutions business group for the delivery of full turn-key or integration of minor to major installations. Will report to the Business Manager.

Responsibilities

• Performs complex design, maintenance, enhancement, testing, implementation, and support of software.

• Completes the development of software test requirements for complex modules under development, executes complex test specifications.

• Completes estimates for complex modules under development, and estimates own work.

• Performs reviews of complex customers' standards specification and other documentation to determine software engineering requirements.

• Performs presentations of complex technical findings and developments.

• Completes the software quality process through the execution of complex module, subsystem and system test procedures.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

• Experience with Siemens S5, S7, and WinCC.

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Software Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent Experience

• 5-8years experience in the field

• Experience with automotive assembly plant install and commissioning activities for factory automation and/or end of line testing equipment is required.

• Travel will vary up to 30 %

• Ability to take multiple data points for requirements and condense the various requirements into a solution.

• Experience with automotive assembly plant install and commissioning activities for factory automation and/or end of line testing equipment is required.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

• German language is a plus.

• Multi-tasking with globally located resources will be necessary.

• Multiple projects will likely be running concurrently and trouble-shooting and problem resolution will be key skills needed by the successful candidate.

• Background and a good knowledge of Siemens automation products or equivalent is desired.

• Experience with a German Automaker is a plus
