Position Overview

The Siemens Building Technologies Division is searching for a dynamic Filed Network Integration Specialist to provide design guidance and expertise in integration for complex Fire/Life Safety System jobs utilizing the latest technologies. Responsibilities

As a Field Network Integration Specialist you will lead the technical delivery for complex network or integration projects. As an expert, you will be coordinating with our Field Technicians and Engineers on the new construction/installation and the Service teams.

Our Integration Specialists analyze customer and company system requirements for use / integration and make recommendations and implement technical solutions to meet the needs of our customers.

On the Technical side, you will be configuring and troubleshooting integrated products and devices, along with diagnosing and resolving network / integration technical problems on customer sites and providing appropriate reports to management.

Along with coordinating installations and/or upgrades of company systems with Customers IT Department you will be tasked at troubleshooting networks, software and hosted system malfunctions. You will also be maintaining technical expertise on all new products, tools and gateways through continuing education initiatives and Siemens will provide support to help you on this.

A High level competence on Networking, Network Architecture, and other software and hardware solutions is needed. Someone who can develop innovative and creative solutions and shares those with others. As an experienced specialist, you will also have the opportunity to mentor lower level employees.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:

Highly proficient in: Network Architecture (routers, switches), Network Configuration and

Server set up experience.

Associate’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or other related technical field.

5-7 years experience with Networks / 3 rd party systems, and high level knowledge in HVAC control / Fire system / Security system applications, engineering, installation / service and problem resolution.

Knowledgeable to expert in Workstation/Server, Router, and IT protocols and how they are used.

Current and fluent in Siemens product software (older and current versions) – especially as they related to customer networks and 3 rd party systems.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to be able to represent Siemens when interfacing with customer personnel from building and IT departments.

Certifications: CISCO & MCSE

Individual must possess a valid Driver’s license in good standing.

Individual must be at least 21 years of age in order to participate in the required Siemens vehicle plan

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience

  • Associates degree or 1-2 years of vocational technical training preferred.

  • Higher degree preferred and / or years of experience with networks / 3 rd party systems.
