Job Description:

Siemens Industry is looking for a Junior Design Engineer with ProE experience for their Bellefontaine, OH location. Our technology-driven Switch engineering department currently has an immediate opening for a Design Engineer. The Design Engineer will be responsible for carrying out the duties of the Engineering department, including design, research, prototyping, engineering documentation, estimating and process improvement. Job Responsibilities:

• Use Pro/Engineering (Cre0) to create models and drawings of products

• Research new materials and methods of development

• Organize and maintain existing engineering records

• Construct prototypes and confirm designs

• Perform physical testing on engineering prototypes

• Ensure components and assemblies adhere to applicable industry and business standards

• Implement New Designs at various manufacturing locations.

• Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solve effectively

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

  1. 3-5 years in Mechanical / Electrical or related industry

  2. BSME or equivalent experience

  3. CAD Requirements

a. Proficient in Pro/Engineer (Creo)

b. Experience with sheetmetal package

c. Experience modeling, detailing, and creating bills of material

d. Experience using Dynamic analysis tools

  1. Ability to work in a team environment as well as individually.

  2. Quick learner.

  3. Excellent oral and written skills.

  4. Basic knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
