Job Description:

Position Overview:

Candidates may live anywhere in the Southeast Zone. In addition to traveling within the Zone, this role will have some responsibilities for classroom training in Deerfield, IL; Tarrytown, NY; Norwood, MA; and Newark, DE.

The Zone Field Sales Trainer plays a critical role in the sales training and soft skills development of the assigned Zone as well as any assigned product lines that may include but not limited to CAI, H2U and POC. This person will work with all New Hires within the Zone as well as support ongoing sales training skills through the creation of targeted training programs. He/she will also work with sales representatives identified as needing additional support with sales skills.


  • Develop and implement the overall sales training strategy for the Zone that maximizes performance and sales results

  • Develop and implement the overall sales training strategy that maximizes performance and sales results for any product line(s) he/she may be assigned

  • Work with Product Trainers to continually update training content/material to meet the Organizational strategies and changing LD market landscape

  • Conduct regular field travel with New Hires and identified sales representatives through working with the Regional Sales Director

  • Develop and execute a sales training program aligned with the Marketing and Organizational strategies

  • Provide feedback on observed behaviors (field rides, classroom etc.) to the respective Regional Sales Director

  • Deliver or Assist in the delivery of formal training programs, which could include but are not limited to the following: New Hire Training, Sales Product Training, Mentorship program and Advanced Sales Training

  • Continually evaluate all sales training activities to identify areas for improvement and drive overall effectiveness

  • Responsible for measuring ROI of sales training programs

  • Provide written feedback to the Regional Sales Director based on observations post field rides, classes etc.

  • Consistently increase knowledge and awareness of changes in the healthcare industry including healthcare reform and industry trends while keeping pace with training and development innovation

  • Be the product expert for those instruments he/she will be responsible for

  • Take on other roles and responsibilities that may be necessary to support the success of Siemens

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

5+ years of successful lap capital Sales experience

Education: BS/BA in related discipline, or advanced degree, where required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certification may be required in some areas.

Knowledge and Experience: Demonstrates and applies comprehensive knowledge of field of specialization to the successful completion of complex assignments. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures of particular area of specialization. Demonstrates significant knowledge of organization's business practices and issues faced and contributes to problem resolution of those issues.Typically 8-10 years of successful experience in related field and successful demonstration of Key Responsibilities and Knowledge as presented above. Advanced degree MAY be substituted for experience, where applicable.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:

Previous sales training experience.
