Teamcenter Project Manager II - Siemens PLM - Detroit, MI

Position Overview

The Teamcenter Project Manager II reports to the Services Director for Automotive and is based in the Metro Detroit area (within 50 miles radius). The Project Manager travels up to 50% mainly within upper Mid-West (e.g. Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana) but geography extends to all USA.

Some overseas travel possible when working global deals

Responsibilities

-Manage project activities to implement Teamcenter on billable customer engagements.

-. Manage quality of delivery and customer satisfaction with SPLM products

-. Report and manage customer status/issues within Siemens

-. Align customer requirements and processes to Teamcenter capabilities and PLM best practices.

-. Manage budget, schedule and scope to implement Teamcenter as defined in the SOW.

-. Develop proposal and change requests for follow-on work

  • Facilitate process/technology alignment workshops

-. Maintain status reports for both Siemens and our customers to communicate issues /progress.

-. Lead project staff in a matrix organization and motivate individuals

1-. Demonstrate analytical and systematic approach to problem solving

  1. Possess strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively manage customer expectations

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

• College degree in Computer Science or Engineering.

• 7 - 10 years’ experience in implementing and managing PLM software projects in PLM space

• 2-3 years of specific project management experience.

• Industry experience in Automotive, or Heavy Equipment Industries

• Excellent communication and customer interaction skills.

• Ability to lead groups in discussion and manage conflict

• Ability to lead people in a matrix organization

• Ability to manage multiple concurrent accounts and/or projects.

• Strong consultative or process background.

• Green card or US citizenship preferred.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

• PMP certification is highly desired.

• Teamcenter implementation is highly desired.
