We are looking for a Safety & RAM Manager (m/f/d) to join our Engineering team. The Safety & RAM Manager will lead, in the projects executed by Siemens Mobility, the activities of Safety, RAM, Validation and Verification and independent body assessment.

Main Activities:

  • Lead Safety & RAM Team in Portugal, reporting to the Head of Engineering.

  • Planning the Project Assurance tasks with alignment to milestones, identification of deviations and their resolution.

  • Creation of the Safety & RAM plan and development of RAM Report.

  • Perform Preliminary Hazard Analysis (PHA), Failure Modes and Effects Critical Analysis (FMECA) and Interface Hazard Analysis (IHA).

  • Maintenance of hazard log/Safety Requirements.

  • Ensure complete traceability of the project requirements at System/Subsystem level.

  • Optimization of the system architecture & system design in collaboration with systems engineering regarding RAMS.

  • Planning, conducting, and documenting the validation for the project to which the validator has been appointed.

  • Creation of Validation Plan according to CENELEC standards and/or applicable safety regulation.

  • Deliver Safety Cases for specific and generic applications in SIL4 railway applications.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Planning, execution, and monitoring of the Project Assurance activities with alignment to costs and deadlines.

  • Ensure that all vital documents (hazard analyses, technical safety reports (TSR), safety cases incl. derived safety related application conditions (SRACs), etc.) are available in accordance with project schedule.

  • Provide support in project execution with the objective of meeting customer requirements in terms of reliability, availability, maintainability, and safety.

  • Ensure that RAMS requirements are met.

  • Assuring that the product meets the project requirements, regarding safety.

  • Process examination.

What do you need to qualify for this job?

  • 6+ years of experience as a Signaling Engineer, preferably in Safety.

  • University degree in Electronics Engineering or similar.

  • Team leadership skills, previous experience in a management role is desirable.

  • Application of RAMS requirements during the development of projects.

  • Knowledge in functional safety standards (e.g. railway CENELEC EN50126/8/9, IEC 61508).

  • Experience in railway safety-related systems and technology (e.g. control, command, and signaling).

  • Requirements management (e.g. DOORS/ Polarion).

  • Ability to foster effective work in a multi-functional, multinational, and diverse environment.

  • Continuous improvement mind-set as a must.

  • Data-driven and results oriented.

  • Advanced level of Portuguese and English, knowledge of Spanish is a plus.

  • Willingness to travel if required.
