As a Network Security Specialist, you:

  • You will be responsible for supporting the continuous improvement of cybersecurity in Digital Industry factories.

  • Act as a subject matter expert for Network Security.

  • You will act as a subject matter expert for Network Security topics as a member of the Expert Hub Security Services team at Siemens SA.

  • Lead the design and improvement of Network Security services and processes

  • Support the Business in the deployment of cybersecurity solutions, services, and processes derived from the assessment, including:

  • Deployment of security tools adapted to the needs of each specific manufacturing location.

  • Operation of security tools in alignment with the Network Security service requirements

  • Support manufacturing locations in analysing, understanding, and prioritising vulnerabilities for remediation.

  • Support team operation and coordination activities such as planning, procurement, etc.

  • Develop security documentation as required (e.g., manuals, best practices, etc.).

  • Perform security architecture and documentation reviews for factory projects.

  • Assess and document the risk level and cybersecurity capabilities for manufacturing locations.

  • Present the assessment results to the Business and drive discussions regarding necessary actions to be taken.

  • Document the progress and follow up on the status of the agreed remediation actions.

To make a difference, you must have:

  • A degree in Computer engineering, Industrial engineering, telecommunications or equivalent.

  • At least +3 years of experience as Network and Security engineer.

  • Technical experience with Switching, Routing, Wireless Communication (WLAN and Modem), Internet, Remote Access, network architecture and security, including VPNs, Firewalls, Proxy, DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM), SD-WAN, NAC (Network Access Control),

  • Cloud connectivity and Security: Design, project configuration, device configuration along with Network Management (NMS), and Network segmentation will be a added advantage.

  • Familiarity with secure network protocols and Zero Trust Network Access concepts.

  • Experience with network performance monitoring and troubleshooting.

  • Understand public, private, and hybrid cloud network architectures.

  • Know analytic techniques and methods.

  • Have the ability to prioritize tasks and think strategically.

  • Focus on continuous improvement.

Desirable:

  • You completed relevant network and cybersecurity certifications (e.g., Siemens CPIN/CEIN, Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, IEC 62443, ISO 27001, etc.) or equivalent.

  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity in Industrial Control Systems.

And ideally:

  • You have experience with Network segmentation, device management, and security monitoring.

  • You understand the unique challenges and security considerations for factory environments in the context of Zero Trust.

  • You have experience working in international teams and/or environments.

  • You are capable of leading and managing complex projects.

  • You are a person who understands the Business needs as well as the technical risks, and proposes risk-oriented approaches, translating technical information to business language.

  • You enjoy engaging with different teams and facilitating discussions to find solutions that meet stakeholder expectations.

  • You are a quick learner and have the aptitude to get into new technologies and architectures.

  • You have advanced English and communication skills: clear and concise communication, ability to address stakeholders of different backgrounds, and technical expertise.

  • You have a Growth Mindset with a High sense of Ownership / Accountability.
