Siemens SI is implementing a global Customer Portal for one of its business areas. The Customer Interaction Portal aims to be a key tool in the interaction between customers and Siemens around the globe. The goal is to achieve half million users spread over more than 20 countries. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure and services and the chance to be part of a broad-skilled agile team and to develop own skills into the this challenging yet rewarding project

Your mission will be…

  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure & services on Azure platforms.

  • Operate and administer server landscape technologies, including Windows, VMware and Azure, ensuring their smooth functioning.

  • Secure and monitor normal operations, including regular 24-hour on-call duty for Windows server systems & Cloud services, to promptly address any issues that may arise.

We are looking for someone with…

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer, specifically working with Azure cloud platforms.

  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash & experience with CI/CD tools and Git.

  • Familiarity with server landscape technologies, particularly Windows, to effectively manage and optimize the server environment.

  • Ability to be regularly available for on-call duty and meet SLA requirements, ensuring uninterrupted operations.

  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, to facilitate clear and concise communication within a global team.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in cloud environments.

  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.

  • Solid understanding of infrastructure-as-code concepts and tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) is a plus.
