What is the Market Data Team within the Value Center IT ECP CFS?

  • The Market Data Team provide reporting services for the Siemens Treasury and supporting services to provide Treasury Data and Market Data for the whole Siemens Group via the applications MARS and MDH.

  • MARS [Market Analytics and Reporting System] is a central reporting solution to analyse and to report Siemens Treasury data, for End-Users and Systems. End users of MARS are operating departments of Siemens Financial Services, Siemens Treasury, Local Entities and Global Shared Services. In additions there are several dedicated applications / modules to support business processes like FX Offer Calculator, Hedge Accounting, Limit Controller and Regulatory Reporting for EMIR / DoddFrank.

  • MDH [Market Data Hub] is a market data management system within the Siemens Group to collect, validate and distribute market data like currency rates and interest rates as well as futures, options, commodities, bonds, credit risk, stocks, crypto currencies, calendar data and others. The system collects market data from different sources, like Refinitiv (former Thomson Reuters) and Bloomberg.

  • In addition, our service manages a basic network configuration for the Siemens Group with high performance dedicated carrier lines to Refinitiv for real-time data as well as End-User support on the trader software (from Refinitiv and Bloomberg).

Your mission will be…

As part of the team, you will be responsible for operations and development. That means you will take care of 1st, 2nd and 3rd level support, e.g., answering questions from business, requirements engineering, taking over end to end responsibilities for requests, as well as improving our service by thinking outside the box and independently suggest improvements.

You will work with a custom developed application in a Managed Service environment and live the Change Request-Process in a heterogeneous IT landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Operations

  • Administration of MARS/MDH (in alignment with Finavigate®- / Datacenter Team)

  • Performing Maintenance Tasks / Standard Changes

  • Monitoring Team Mailbox and MARS / MDH System on business hours

  • Handling of Incidents / (Emergency) Change Requests / Problem management

  • Development

  • Design and Implementation of Change request (CR) / Projects in MARS/MDH

  • Test and Documentation

  • All development / Codes must be stored in defined repositories.

  • Knowledge transfer to team members / Segregation of Duties

  • IT-Consulting

We are looking for someone with…

  • At least one year working experience as SW developer

  • Degree in computer science or similar background in IT

  • Professional experience with Angular, .NET and C#, Internet Information Server and Web Services (REST, SOAP)

  • Working experience with build and deployment tooling (GitLab/Microsoft Azure DevOps)

  • Professional experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)

  • Proactive, structured, and self-organized working style

  • Good communication, documentation, and presentation skills. Fluent in English, written and spoken

  • Intercultural skills and motivation to work in a virtual and international team

  • Willingness to travel
