Technical Marketing Leadership Development Program Intern (TMLDP)
A strategic summer internship working on projects ranging from product launches, webpage development, competitive research, and product positioning. This internship is a precursor to the Entry Level Leadership Program for Technical Marketing known as the TMLDP. Interns should be rising sophomores and juniors with the following qualifications:
Minimum GPA: 3.2
Majors: Electrical/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering, Industrial/Systems Engineering, Industrial Distribution
Potential Locations: Atlanta/Dallas/Houston/Philadelphia/Chicago
Permanent work authorization in the U.S. is required.
Program runs from May through August 2018
Create go-to-market strategies and sales/production forecasts, to generating competitive product portfolio offerings for both new and existing products, you’ll gain invaluable hands-on experience leading to a rewarding future in this exciting area of our business. The Technical Marketing Leadership Development Program is based out of our Industry Sector.
This program consists of four, six-month rotational assignments. You’ll also receive training in leadership and business skills as you complete each rotation. Work on both functional specific and cross-functional projects alongside key leaders and senior decision-makers. Rotations are based upon business need and preference, but may include:
Division Marketing: Marketing and financial basics; product expertise – customer needs analysis, competitive product portfolio and analysis, product lifecycle management, product features and benefits; Manufacturing & engineering exposure - order engineering, design-to-cost, quality; Product Lifecycle Management Project.
Corporate Marketing: Marketing Communications – marketing collateral, tradeshows; Channel Marketing – channel partner programs, sales channels; Strategic Planning and Customer Relationship Management.
Customer Exposure: Inside Sales – pre and post sales support, account responsibility; Outside Sales – joint sales calls with experienced Sales Engineers; Channel Marketing Management – facilitate interaction between sales division and business unit, supporting distributor programs.
Career track: Upon successful completion of the program you may become one of the following: Marketing Specialist; Product Specialist; or Application Engineer.
